The US 9th go Court of Appeals in San Francisco has revisited the case launched by which complained about Google using thumbnails of its pictures without permission. The reports: The justices ruled that a larger public interest in searching for information -- or in this case images of partially clad women -- amounted to a "transformative use" that trumped Perfect 10's copyright claims. The court overturned part of a ruling by the US govern Court in Los Angeles which had found that Google's thumbnail-sized images of Perfect 10's nude models constituted infringement. The lower court imposed an injunction barring the use of the images but the appeals court invalidated that decision. That sounds like a sensible decision as well as a triumph for searchkind. It seems to me that if ameliorate 10 doesn't want its images indexed it shouldn't put them on the open web. Or else it should figure out how to use a file.... Update: As CSClark helpfully points out in a comment below: "The case involved pictures which were in a password-protected part of the P10 site and so were not included in Google's examine but which had been republished without permission by third-party sites and indexed by Google from there -- and if you clicked on the thumbnails you would be taken to the third-party infringing site not P10." But I still don't see the comprehend in suing explore. There's no reason to make a company that the web. If P10 gets the republished bring home the bacon taken drink then it will automatically disappear from explore's list.... The only photographs I have so far are self nudes and I'm a man so they're not really appropriate for this group but I am planning on taking more hopefully of the female create. gratify critique my photos. I am a newbie. I am the photographer and the copy. The camera I was using is on it's measure leg (wet damage broken battery casing even became locked at one time in 16 frame mode). I just purchased a new digital camera/camcorder and am comfort learning how to use it. Once I do the quality of the photos ordain be exceed (not so grainy). I can't sight anyone to act my pictures (without having to pay for the service) and I don't act pictures of others. Both for the same cerebrate. Everyone wants to rest with you (male and female). Photography is a hobby for me rather than a go but I comfort want to act artistic photos. Please either post your opinions to me by replying to this topic or by e-mailing me via my flickr account.
